April 12 Supercell

A Large supercell rides along northern illinois in the mid morning hours on saturday april 12 2014. The storm generates heavy winds, but the big event was the hail... and lots of it. For us in Marengo its the largest we have seen since July 19 2009 when we had 1.5", this event for us only gave us 1". However areas not far from us (Lake in the Hills and Barrington saw upwards of 1.75" - 2" hail).Erik ran to get his camera just as the shelf was moving in, and took some videos of the activity including the main brunt of the storm and aftermath.Filmed using a Sony CX-220
