Dividing this into a 2 part, part 1 is the first storm we intercepted near La Moille Illinois. This storm was tornado warned with plenty of visibility but no funnel or tornado was captured. The storm was surprisingly quiet with nearly no lightning or hail.

A slow moving group of non severe showers and storms move up across northern illinois. The leading edge cell is in a statement for possible funnels. while non are seen the slow moving shelf is only documented in Mchenry Co.

A passing severe thunderstorm across northern Boone and McHenry counties develops a lowering. The wall cloud doesnt develop a tornado or funnel but was an interesting feature to pay attention too.

A significant risk for tornadoes develops across northeast illinois. Rich, Dave and Erik team up to go after the storms, heading to i39 before heading east until a slow moving freight train takes our chances to zero and we never catch up with the storms which drop a series of tornados in the suburbs later.

After a disappointing chase the previous day, a rouge storm moving around 5mph moves into mchenry county from the wisconsin border.
​
This slow moving tornado warned storm shows a funnel (more or less was scud ) but was a fun local event just for the area.

A severe thunderstorm crosses northern illinois in the early morning of july 26. The cell drops over an inch of rain in 30min and downs trees in the area.
