A severe thunderstorm watch is up till 10pm, but one lonely cell gives off a decent lightning show near marengo... there is just one thing off about it... the rotating feature on the back.

Lightning lightning lightning!!!! This was the event of the yr for us here in n. il. round and rounds of slow moving lightning shooters kept a lot of folks awake at night.

While positioning for a strong section of storms approaching, Erik sets up in the northern dekalb and kane area gets the strong end of the cells with plenty of strong winds and small hail.
