Mission Statement Our goal is to provide documentation and evidence of weather events in Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin. History We began on February 15, 2001, back then it was a private weather site known as the Marengo Weather Tracker. When we began to stormchase in the 2003 season, we focused our goals to developing a new name that would allow us to broaden our range, Transit Weather was born. As stated in the main page, we are a group of friends with a common goal... weather, from spotting to chasing we hope to continue to provide photography and reports to back up weather events in the region. What areas do you chase in? Well, due to the cost of gas (as if its a surprise) and our own work schedules, we run around an area ruffly a Madison, Wi - Milwaukee, Wi, - Chicago, IL, - Rockford, IL. On occasions we have traveled outside of the general "square" if everything goes according to plans. What equipment do you chase with? Cell Phones, Scanner, Cbs, Digital Cameras, Film Cameras, Video Camera, Weather Radios, Dash mount for camera, GPS, Laptops, Emergency Lights, Decals for side of vehicle...etc the list goes on and on.
